Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Trailers Highlight Kayna and Alwin

Two important characters (and their Monsties) are revealed in new trailers. The turn-based RPG is slated to release on July 9th for PC and Switch.

The hype continues to build for Capcom’s Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin which is out this week. Two new trailers have been released which introduces Kayna and Alwin, two characters that play a role in the protagonist’s journey. Check them out below.

Kayna hails from Mahana Village and serves as a mentor of sorts for the player. In battle, she wields a sword and shield while her Monstie is a Velocidrome named Avmar. Alwin is from Rutoh Village and Wyverian in origin. Noted for being reserved, he was friends with Red (the protagonist of the first game). Along with using a bow to fight, he also has a Legiana named Shaulk for overwhelming foes with Ice attacks.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is out on July 9th for Nintendo Switch and PC. A demo is currently available for Switch which provides a better look at combat, exploration and the story. Progress also carries over if you purchase the main game.
