Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Capcom may be wrapping up its updates for Monster Hunter World in 2019, but it had one last major reveal to showcase to players. It’s an expansion called Iceborne and will be releasing Autumn 2019. Check out the reveal trailer below, which sees our friendly neighbourhood Rathalos crossing the ocean to some place… colder.

The snowy landscape should pose interesting challenges for players, and Capcom has promised new monsters, locales, moves, and equipment. The tail-end of the trailer hints at some of the new gear and weapons. Of course, we’d be remiss not to mention what seems to be a Nargacuga slashing at the screen.

Iceborne will also include a new quest rank, though producer Ryozo Tsujimoto didn’t confirm if this was G-Rank. More information on the expansion will be coming in Spring 2019. Keep in mind that the current release window for Iceborne is for consoles – the PC version of the expansion (along with other updates) will have its date announced in the future.

While Iceborne is a ways off, there will be content to keep players busy – like the upcoming collaboration quest with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that sees Geralt of Rivia coming to Astora.
