Mortal Kombat 11 - Frost

As officially confirmed by NetherRealm Studios with a new gameplay showcase, Frost is a playable character in Mortal Kombat 11. Unlike her previous apperances, Frost is now part of the Cyber Lin Kuei and has been augmented with new abilities. The real question is: How do you unlock her?

It’s actually pretty simple. But spoilers ahead!

Head on over to Story Mode and play up until Chapter 4. Sub-Zero and Scorpion (or Grandmaster Sub-Zero and Grandmaster Hanzo Hasashi, if you will) investigate a Cyber Lin Kuei laboratory to halt the production of new cyborgs. Cyrax is present as Sub-Zero’s inside man but surprisingly enough, Frost is also there. She’s revealed to be working in the Cyber Initiative to aid antagonist Kronika.

You’ll be given a choice to fight with either Sub-Zero or Scorpion against Frost. If the challenge proves too difficult, you can set the difficulty of Story Mode to “Very Easy” from the outset. Other opponents include a returning Noob Saibot and Sektor, the latter being especially annoying due to his flamethrower. Defeat them, complete the chapter and head back to the Main Menu. Frost will be unlocked and can be used across all game modes.

Mortal Kombat 11 guides on the Krypt and how to quickly earn Koins and Hearts are also inbound so stay tuned. The game is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. Check out GamingBolt’s official review for more details.
