Star Wars Battlefront

Jade Raymond, general manager of Motive Studios under EA, took the stage at EA Play to outline the plan for Star Wars games in the coming years.

Along with confirming that Star Wars Battlefront 2 would be releasing in 2017, Raymond also revealed that Motive Studios would be working with DICE on the game. It will feature content from the new films and as the trailer below reveals, Criterion Games is also on-board.

In 2018, we’ll see Amy Hennig and Visceral Games releasing their next game (some early footage is showcased in the video below). Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars game was also discussed and Raymond promised that it would explore a different part of the universe.

What are your thoughts on the plans for Star Wars, especially with Star Wars Battlefront 2 coming out next year? Does the extra development muscle mean a single-player campaign? We’ll find out in the coming year so stay tuned for more information and let us know what you think in the comments.
