My Friend Pedro

DeadToast Entertainment’s awesome 2D side-scrolling shooter My Friend Pedro has done pretty well for itself. According to publisher Devolver Digital on its blog, “nearly half a million” people have bought the game. The developer has also added the Code Yellow Update for free while the game goes on sale for Steam.

The Code Yellow Update should provide plenty of reason to jump back in. It introduces 14 different modifiers including a cinematic camera mode, adjustable player speed, hiding the HUD, a timer and much more. You can even turn off checkpoints, make enemies (or the protagonist) susceptible to one-hit kills and more.

The modifiers can be found throughout the story so first time players will need to go through it regardless. While short, My Friend Pedro offers a fun action-packed experience with its own surreal brand of humor. Check out the trailer below for more details on the Code Yellow Update. My Friend Pedro is available for Nintendo Switch along with PC.
