"I would certainly come back,” says Nolan North.

Uncharted 4 A Thief's End

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s ending was fantastic. It was a perfect send off  for Nathan Drake and the rest of the cast in the Uncharted series and as far as Naughty Dog are concerned, A Thief’s End was the final Uncharted game. However given the amazing critical reception and the critical success the game has received, one cannot possibly see Sony not working on a new Uncharted game, possibly developed by another studio. And if that happens, Nathan Drake’s voice actor has expressed his interest already.

“Depending on how much money this game makes, Sony might want to do another one with another studio,” Nolan North said in an article published on Vulture. “And I would certainly come back,” he further added. Well, this is certainly an interesting situation. In my opinion, Sony should let the Uncharted series rest in peace. Naughty Dog did a great job in closing out the series (a particularly hard job these days given how poorly Hideo Kojima handled the ending of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain).

The ending of Uncharted 4 was perfect and there is absolutely no need for Sony for to develop an Uncharted 5. Heck, I think they should not even develop a prequel or a spin off. Doing so will simply kill off the wonderful closure to Drake’s ending.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is now available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
