NEO: The World Ends with You Opening Movie Revealed

Various tracks have been mixed together, including the classic "Twister."

NEO: The World Ends with You, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2007 DS classic, is out in July. Square Enix has revealed the opening movie which sees Rindo and his allies in the Wicked Twisters along with other characters in the Underground. Check it out below.

Though it doesn’t show any gameplay footage, the trailer does highlight the title’s snazzy sense of style. Along with mixing together some of the new tracks, the song “Twister” from the first game is also briefly features. With Takeharu Ishimoto returning to compose the soundtrack, there may be even more classic tunes included.

NEO: The World Ends with You is out on July 27th for PS4 and Switch, with a Summer 2021 release window for PC (via the Epic Games Store). Collecting badges and battling Noise with psych abilities is still a core part of the game but players but combat and exploration is now fully in 3D.
