Just yesterday Battlefield 4 received an all new patch that both targets some of the game’s existing issues—which have been plaguing gamers since the game’s release—and also includes some prep content for Battlefield 4’s upcoming DLC pack, Second Assault. A developer from EA’s DICE offered a comment on the patch on one of the official Battlelog forums:

“This update is mainly designed to prepare the game for the upcoming release of the expansion pack Battlefield 4 Second Assault. We will announce the release date for this expansion pack later.”

In addition to the DLC prep, there have also been several tweaks to the game’s overall gameplay and some glitch fixes as well.

While there has yet to be an official release date announcement for the Second Assault DLC, as the DICE developer stated, there have been rumors circulating the Internet that we should see the release sometime in February.

Stay tuned to Gamingbolt to hear the official release date when it’s announced.
