We’ve just been given a glimpse into the story of Rhapsody in Scarlet, a very interesting offering for the PS5 from Konami.
The reveal trailer introduced us to Ellie Myers, a magus who’s trying to make it as a jazz singer, and a trio of antagonists who seemed quite determined to press her into their service. Well, turns out she’s in town in a world where magi generally operate in secret, and has stepped right into a conflict between the Seekers, an existing magi order and their serious leader, and the local mafia, also magi, who look to use their skills for more nefarious purposes.
Ellie and Ilya, the aforementioned leader of the Seekers, are going to have to work together to counter the growing threat, combining their formidable abilities to ensure that the mafia don’t find the foothold they’re looking for in a version of New York that they see as a mere stage. Of course, the 1920’s setting makes the entire thing quite unique in its presentation, and that soundtrack has us expecting great things from it when this one drops sometime in the near future.
The stakes are definitely high in this one, and the story trailer below is definitely worth a watch if you’re curious to know more.
