New Wolfenstein: The New Order Video Walks Us Through One Of The Game’s ‘Standout Levels’

That atmosphere.

Bethesda is going to be releasing a new installment in the classic FPS franchise (in fact, the classicest of them all- Wolfenstein invented the modern  first person shooter genre with Wolfenstein 3D) later this year- Wolfenstein: The New Order.

This newest video sees MachineGames’ narrative designer Tommy Tordsson Björk discusses his proudest moments while working on Wolfenstein: The New Order, including writing the Chapter 3 train sequence  – allegedly one of the many standout moments in the game- that’s the level we are walked through in the video above.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is currently being developed at MachineGames, and it is due out on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC later this year (sorry Wii U. You lose. Again. Just get used to it already).

The game launches May 23; anyone who pre-orders it will also be invited to access the Doom beta, so there is some incentive to get on it already.
