Square Enix’s Nier: Automata has gone gold according to producer Yosuke Saito on Twitter. Principle development on the title has wrapped with all content complete and the game is currently being shipped to disc manufacturers for production and digital platforms for distribution.

As it turns out, the third person hack and slash title has been gold for some time as per Saito. The announcement was made only recently though. Nier: Automata will only be coming to the PS4 when it launches – the PC version has no update till now though Platinum Games has assured it’s working hard on the same.

Nier: Automata arrives on February 23rd in Japan and March 7th in North America. The follow-up to Square Enix’s Nier franchise generated tons of positive buzz with its recent demo on PS4 and is now one of the more highly anticipated titles this year.
