Platinum Games’ NieR Automata was showcased at PlayStation Experience and we now know when it will be out in the West. It releases on March 7th 2017 for PS4 and PC in North America and Europe. Check out the new trailer below to further ogle at the action, which includes some nifty 2.5D platforming/shooting.
Despite its hack and slash trappings, NieR Automata is still an RPG like its predecessors. It actually takes place after the first Nier and sees humanity fighting off otherworldly robotic invaders.
The humans have their fair share of firepower thanks to the androids called “YoRHa”. Players will control 2B as she battles legions of robots while also solving mysteries of the past. Mostly more of the former than the latter we’d guess.
