Nintendo has announced a new Indie World Showcase for April 17th at 7 AM PT, featuring roughly 20 minutes of announcements and updates on upcoming indie games for the Nintendo Switch in 2024.

It isn’t to say that titles launching next year and potentially beyond won’t be announced. Given all the ratings it’s accumulated from classification boards worldwide (and its recent Xbox Store page), perhaps we’ll finally get an update on Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong. Announced in February 2019, the eagerly-awaited Metroidvania title was meant to launch by June 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One before facing a delay.

In the past few weeks alone, the ESRB in North America, the GRAC in South Korea, and the Australian Classification Board have rated the title. This usually implies some upcoming announcement, if not an impending launch. As always, stay tuned for details or, failing that, inevitable disappointment when the Indie World Showcase airs tomorrow.
