Nintendo has announced that it will be airing a new Nintendo Indie World Showcase tomorrow, on December 15, at 9 AM PT. The livestream will be roughly 20 minutes long, and will feature “information on upcoming indie games headed to Nintendo Switch.”

So what exactly can we expect to see from it. Well, as always, people will be hoping to finally get an update on the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong. The Metroidvania sequel has been missing in action from several major (and not-so-major) events in a row, and developer Team Cherry has been completely quiet about it for quite some time.

In early 2021, the developer said that the game was in its final testing stages, but refused to give out any details on when it might launch. Later in the year, the GeForce Now database leak suggested that Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch in February 2022, while recently, the game’s GOG page was also updated. Does that mean we’ll finally get an update on the game? You can never be too sure when it comes to Hollow Knight, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, with the likes of Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals and OlliOlli World, among many others, the Nintendo Switch has plenty of promising indie games coming to it in the next few months, so it’s likely we’ll be hearing about some of those- and perhaps some that haven’t been revealed yet.

Either way, we’ll keep you posted on any new details that come our way, so stay tuned.
