Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja released a new trailer for Nioh 2, the follow-up to its successful action RPG Souls-like. At the end, we finally received a release window – early 2020, which could mean somewhere around March or April. Check it out below.

Among all the different Yokai showcased (and there are a lot of new ones), the trailer also hints at the new characters. Each has their own Guardian Spirit, ranging from a wolf with an eye-patch to a kitsune. There’s even a peek at some of the boss battles including a large six-legged Yokai bull.

Near the end, we learn of the character being named Hideyoshi. Could this be Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the father of Hideyori who served as a boss in the original game? We’ll have to wait for more information to be sure. Nioh 2 is currently slated to release for PS4, but we expect it to arrive on PC afterwards, like its predecessor.
