No Man’s Sky Refund Policy Clarified on Steam

No special exemptions.

No Man's Sky

Have you been reading reports of Sony, Amazon and Steam offering refunds on No Man’s Sky, Hello Games’ procedurally generated space exploration title, regardless of how much time you’ve put into it? While there are several incidents of users obtaining refunds, Steam has sought to re-clarify its policy on the same.

Over on the No Man’s Sky listing, it states, “The standard Steam refund policy applies to No Man’s Sky. There are no special exemptions available.”

The essential points of the policy are simple – you can refund a game within 14 days of purchasing it for any reason and if played for less than two hours. Sorry, players who felt duped by the hype, invested 60 hours and decided to “stick it” to Hello Games but Steam at least won’t be entertaining your refund requests.
