Codemasters’ Onrush, developed by former DriveClub team members, had a decent debut last month. However, it’s sort of gotten lost in the shuffle with other releases, E3 2018, and major announcements hogging the attention. If you’ve heard of the game and want to give it a try, you’re in luck- a free weekend for PS4 players has been announced.
According to the official Onrush Facebook page, the free weekend will run from July 6th to July 9th. It’s only applicable for PS4 players in Europe, but in a follow-up comment, the developer promised some “juicy stuff” soon for Xbox One and PS4 players in North America.
Onrush received praise for its unorthodox style of objective play for a racing game. However, it was also criticized for a lack of content and the overall rough nature of the teamwork aspect. Ranked Play still isn’t available for the game, so perhaps the “juicy stuff” is an announcement regarding the same? Time will tel,l but for now, Codemasters has to do something drastic to ignite interest in Onrush. For more information on the gameplay, check out GamingBolt’s official review here.
