Outer Wilds

Annapurna Interactive has announced that Mobius Digital’s Outer Wilds will release on PS4. The announcement was expected since the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea rated the PS4 version last month. However, we won’t have to wait long – it’s out for Sony’s console on October 15th.

Outer Wilds is essentially about you, a space pilot and explorer who ventures out into the hand-crafted system to learn its mysteries. There’s a lot to discover, from twin planets affecting each other to strange radio stations. Perhaps the biggest mysteries are why the Sun is going supernova, and why you’re stuck in a time loop exploring 20 minutes before it happens.

Though it can be rogue-lite in nature, solutions and mysteries unraveled in Outer Wilds carry over from run to run. Thanks to strengths in aesthetics and environmental story-telling, it shouldn’t be missed. Outer Wilds is currently available for Xbox One and PC, with the latter being exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
