Outriders

We’ve now seen so many different next generation games, it can almost be easy to forget that one of the first titles that was revealed to be coming to the new systems is Outriders, the non-live service action game from Square Enix and People Can Fly. It wouldn’t be too out there for you to forget that with so much information out there about various games set to release now, but it also seems Outriders may not make launch after all.

While nothing official has been stated from either Square or People, it was noticed that the game’s pre-purchase listing on Steam that includes the title and the pre-order bonus on Steam was changed a few hours ago. It now reads February 2nd, 2021. That’s not just a random date, either, it is the Tuesday that begins February, which matches up with the typical release day for most titles. The game has also been getting monthly streams they are calling Broadcasts to highlight elements of the game, but this month was seemingly skipped without notice. It is worth mentioning that when you click on the main page for the title it still says Holiday 2020 as release, however.

So, again, nothing official has been said, so as of now Outriders is still slated to be coming this holiday season. But a delay would not be shocking at this point.
