Overwatch 2 lead hero designer Alec Dawson has outlined the buffs and changes coming to Lifeweaver on April 25th. Introduced in Season 4, the Support hero has had a somewhat mixed reception, with criticism against his control scheme and subpar healing.
In terms of healing, Healing Blossom’s ammo is going from 12 to 20, and the slow that occurs when charging now occurs one second after a full charge. Thorn Volley now has a tightened spread for more reliable damage, and Tree of Life’s healing is 75 per pulse (up from 50). The Tree’s health is also increasing from 1000 to 1200, giving it more survivability.
Finally, Parting Gift, his passive, has been removed, which is understandable since it seemed to benefit Flankers more than anything. Dawson says the team will continue to “monitor his effectiveness over the next few weeks and see if additional changes are needed.”
As for the new control scheme, it goes live on the same day as the buffs, though players can still go with the old layout. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

These changes look to increase Lifeweaver's healing capabilities and smooth out a few of his weaknesses. We'll continue to monitor his effectiveness over the next few weeks and see if additional changes are needed. More insight coming tomorrow in Aaron's blog and a Q+A stream!
