Resident Evil Survival Unit

Aniplex, JoyCity and Capcom have announced that Resident Evil: Survival Unit will be hitting Android and iOS through Google Play and App Store respectively on November 18 in 151 countries and regions worldwide. The companies have also confirmed that the title is planned for release in additional territories at a later date. The full list of countries and regions where the title will be available is on the official website.

While most countries in the world will be getting it right now, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Myanmar and Mongolia will be getting Resident Evil: Survival Unit some time in early 2026. In the meantime, players interested in checking the game out can already pre-register through their online store of choice.

Resident Evil: Survival Unit is a strategy game based on the seminal survival horror franchise. The title has been described by the developers as blending “the accessibility of mobile gaming with the depth of real-time strategy”. It will also feature some multiplayer elements that will help “players worldwide to connect and compete” in brand new adventures that take place in the Resident Evil universe.

Pre-registrations for Resident Evil: Survival Unit were originally kicked off back in July. Since then, the companies have confirmed that it has seen more than 2 million pre-registrations across multiple regions. It also helps that pre-registering for the title will get players access to a special bonus pack full of usable items that will help with character progression in the early parts of the game.

Resident Evil: Survival Unit starts out with players waking up in a mysterious hospital, having been used as part of a shady experiment by Umbrella Corporation. As they explore the hospital, players will learn the truth about the company and try to make their escape. Generally speaking, the mobile game will feature a brand new storyline that will also include appearances and cameos from important characters throughout the Resident Evil franchise.

After escaping from the mysterious hospitals, players will then get to take part in one of the core aspects of gameplay – building up their base. A lavish mansion which serves as the player’s home base in Resident Evil: Survival Unit will also serve as the meeting place for many of the protagonists from franchise, with Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy all having been confirmed as showing up in the game. Players can also find a merchant that will help them get stronger thanks to the weapons and other pieces of equipment that they sell.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for players to flex their strategic thinking capabilities, since they will also find themselves accosted by zombies on all fronts. Among the gameplay offered in Resident Evil: Survival Unit is the defense battle, where players have to take on powerful creatures by making use of their own special abilities. The developers have described this gameplay as being “high-stakes” real-time combat.

Resident Evil: Survival Unit was first unveiled all the way back in July. Check out the announcement trailer for more details.
