In a new Developer Update, Overwatch game director Aaron Keller provided some updates on Overwatch 2’s development. Though much of the sequel’s recent discussion has been centered on co-op and story missions, the team is looking to share more details on PvP. On May 20th, the developer and Overwatch League teams will sit down to talk more about it.

This includes playing through new maps along with some discussion on the changes coming to PvP. Of course, everything showcased is still under development and a work in progress so it could change down the line. Additional details are also slated for later this year.

Overwatch 2 is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. At BlizzConline 2021, New York and Rome were confirmed as new maps for PvP. A wide variety of Hero Missions, numbering in the “hundreds”, is also planned. Stay tuned for more details on other details and changes in the meantime.
