Overwatch 2: Season 2 kicks off today, adding a new hero Ramattra, a new Escort map in Shambali Monastery, and a new Battle Pass. While Kiriko required leveling the Battle Pass to Tier 55 (or purchasing the Premium Battle Pass), that won’t be the case with the new Tank.
On Twitter, game director Aaron Keller revealed that “after reviewing data for Season 1,” the team is moving Ramattra to Tier 45 in the Battle Pass. Some weekly challenges will also be easier to complete, which means easier leveling.
Those who want to try Ramattra without purchasing the Premium Battle Pass or grinding can go into the Practice Range. Alternatively, you can go into No Limits, Mystery Heroes, Mystery Deathmatch and Custom Games to play them. It’s a way to get a feel for the hero before deciding whether you want him immediately or not.
Stay tuned for patch notes on Season 2 when they go live later today. Overwatch 2 is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Hey all! Quick update on some changes coming to Season 2. After reviewing data for Season 1, we're moving Ramattra in to Tier 45 of the Battle Pass and making a few more weekly challenges easier to complete. Excited for you all to see everything new in Season 2 starting tomorrow!
