Overwatch - Academy DVa

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will be celebrating its third anniversary this week. So, much like previous years, there will be an Anniversary Event starting on May 21st and ending on June 10th that offers new cosmetics. You can check out the first one below – Academic D.Va, a skin that director Jeff Kaplan said would “break the Internet.”

The Anniversary Event will feature six new Legendary and three new Epic skins, though we’ve yet to know for which characters. New heroes like Baptiste, Ashe, and Hammond will also be getting their own Dance emotes. Previous seasonal Brawls, including the recent Storm Rising, will also be available on a daily rotating basis.

Each player who logs in during the event will receive a free Legendary loot box, which contains a guaranteed chance for a Legendary item. It’s worth noting that previous event cosmetics will also be available and mixed in with the new loot box pool. This makes it harder to get any of the new stuff, so keep that in mind before splurging on loot boxes.
