En route to Blizzard Entertainment’s open beta for Overwatch, it’s hero-centric multiplayer shooter, the developer has announced that the closed beta will be ending on April 25th, 10 AM PST.

Blizzard thanked all those who took place in the closed beta while also noting that any progress made in the closed beta won’t be carrying over into the full game. “No. We’ve no plans at this time for your activity during the Closed Beta to carry over – to the Open Beta or to launch.”

The beta’s forums will be available until April 29th and no more players will be added to the closed game in the meanwhile. If you want to play Overwatch in the coming weeks after the closed beta, then the open beta on May 5th (May 3rd for those who pre-order early and gain access) will be your only opportunity.

Overwatch will be releasing on May 24th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the closed beta now that it’s ending? Let us know in the comments.
