Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch is out tomorrow, bringing the hero-based shooter to the masses after months of anticipation. The developer has been doing a great job hyping up the characters with its animated shorts focused on various heroes and the season concludes with “Hero”, a short starring Soldier 76.

In-game, Soldier 76 is your average default FPS character. He possesses an assault rifle, an alternate fire with rockets, the ability to sprint and a healing sphere. In a way, he’s perhaps the most basic of characters in Overwatch but he’s also extremely potent with his abilities, especially with Aimbot, his ultimate that allows him to lock on to targets immediately. Regardless of his blandness, Soldier 76 was the most picked hero in the recent open beta, which saw more than 9.7 million players worldwide take part.

Overwatch is out on May 24th for Xbox One, PC and PS4 but retailers are already sending out copies today. Servers will go live depending on your local time so don’t be surprised to see Australians online first. Are you picking it up? Let us know in the comments.
