Overwatch Summer Games

The Summer Games have hit Overwatch in a big game with the Lucioball event as the new Weekly Brawl and themed Loot Boxes containing special cosmetics for players to earn. This is only the start for Blizzard Entertainment, though it’s not ready to reveal its plans just yet.

“This is our very first seasonal event in Overwatch, but there are more on the horizon,. We’re not quite ready to reveal our plans, but you can expect to see more festive Loot Box items, maps, and modes in the future.”

The event, which includes the Loot Boxes and likely Lucioball, will end on August 22nd. In the meantime, you can earn various emotes, skins and emotes for different characters based on the Olympics. Some of them are quite cool like Symmetra’s ribbon dance.

What are your thoughts on the Summer Games event and would you like to see other events in the future? Let us know in the comments.
