Overwatch

Right after dropping a new Assault map set in Paris, Blizzard Entertainment has begun teasing its next hero for Overwatch. A new tweet on the official Overwatch Twitter reveals a breach in Talon’s firewall. The accompanying link leads to a communications log about one Captain Cuerva and his strike team, who went missing in Port-de-Paix.

It seems the strike team was pursuing Jean-Baptiste Augustin, a former Talon operative who seems to have defected. The mission was to capture Augustin, or eliminate him if he didn’t return. Naturally, things went awry, and the fate of the strike team and Cuerva is unknown. You may now speculate accordingly.

Blizzard has had a set pattern for unveiling heroes in the past two years. A new hero is teased around this time and eventually releases first for the Public Test Realm server. They’re live on all platforms by March end, as we’ve seen with Orisa and Brigitte. Is the new hero really Augustin though? What could his abilities be? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
