Overwatch Symmetra

The 1.25 Public Test for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch has officially wrapped according to senior producer Romain Dijoux on the official forums. That means the Public Test Region build won’t be accessible until the developer adds new content. Which should happen when major new changes or new heroes have to be tested before launch.

With the latest PTR’s closure, that means we’re one step closer to Symmetra’s rework going live. On top of replacing her Ultimate with a large Photo Barrier that can cut off an entire map, the new Symmetra has no auto-aiming laser. She can also deploy turrets by “throwing” them onto different surfaces. The turrets also deal more damage and have an increased slow effect along with more health.

Her Teleporter is now a skill that can be used to deploy various things to different locations. For example, it’s entirely possible to send a Self-Destruct or RIP-Tire through a Teleporter and catch enemies by surprise.

The rework is expected to be available some time in the coming week. Along with Symmetra’s rework, Horizon Lunar Colony is expected to be revamped. What are your thoughts on Symmetra’s new abilities? Let us know below.
