P.T. Demo Not Being Removed from PS4 Consoles by Konami

If you find the demo missing, it's actually not Konami's fault.

Konami hasn’t been having it easy this year with Hideo Kojima reportedly leaving the studio when Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain releases, Kojima Productions being shut down and P.T. aka Silent Hills being cancelled. The demo for P.T. was subsequently removed from PSN in line with the project’s cancellation. This led to PS4s containing the demo to be hawked on eBay

However, reports emerged that Konami was actually responsible for deleting P.T. from users’ consoles. As it turns out, a spokesperson revealed to VG247 that this was false. There simply isn’t any means for Konami or even Sony to delete content from one’s console. So if you accidentally deleted it, it’s not Konami’s fault.

Rumours have emerged that Silent Hills could be coming to Xbox One courtesy of Microsoft buying the franchise but they remain just rumours for the time being. What are your thoughts on the franchise at this point? Let us know in the comments.
