Pocketpair’s Palworld appeared during the recent ID@Xbox Showcase, with the upcoming Summer update receiving its first trailer. It revealed four new Pals, two new weapons, and a new island players will traverse. While the new Pal count may seem low, the developer reiterated that the roster will grow with subsequent updates.
“We are planning to add many more new Pals in future updates,” it said on Steam. It could mean some new Pals in the upcoming Arena update, which arrives later this year and delivers 3v3 Pal battles between players. There may also be other raid bosses like Bellanoir arriving before Palworld exits early access, so stay tuned for more details.

Since launching last January, it’s taken the industry by storm, with over 15 million copies sold on Steam and 10 million players on Xbox (where it also had the biggest third-party Game pass launch). Pocketpair is in talks to release it for other platforms, though nothing is official.
