Palworld

Pocketpair’s Palworld is finally launching this month, albeit in early access. Announced for PC via Steam, the “Pokemon with Guns” survival crafting title will also be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass on January 19th.

What can players expect from the early access version? On its Steam page, the developer revealed that the core systems, from battles and exploration to building and crafting, are complete. There are over 100 Pals, more than 70 building types and +350 items to play with. It will remain in early access for “at least one year” with various improvements, new content, and other changes implemented over time.

Of course, as with any early access title, it could take longer. “Depending on the progress of development, we may consider extending early access or if we are satisfied with the state of the game, officially releasing the game.” The full version will contain any necessary balance adjustments, dungeons, new Pals, areas, buildings and items to “make the survival elements more pronounced and enjoyable.”

Palworld’s price could also increase when it’s finally ready to launch (if not close to the release window). Stay tuned for more details when it goes live.
