Starbreeze Studios’ Payday 3 may have exceeded expectations for the developer before performing below Embracer’s due to various issues, but it’s getting back on track. Update 1.02 launches this month and adds two Legacy Heists – Turbid Station and Cook Off – along with a new mask and preset weapon.

In a recent livestream, community manager Elisabeth E. and lead producer Andreas Häll Penninger revealed that Cook Off would be a larger map with tactical scaffolding for more verticality and a new area in the garage. Furthermore, it has a 19-bag cap. Once you get ten bags, an endless assault ensures. Players must also be more careful when cooking the meth, lest they reduce its value.

As for Turbid Station, it adds train cart roofs for more verticality. Players can also slide beneath the train cars when playing stealthy, among other things. Those looking for new rewards can pick up the Under Wraps Mask for 10 C Stacks and the Compact7 “Lycan” preset weapon for 25 C Stacks.

Stay tuned for more details on the update shortly. Payday 3 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out our review here.
