Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis -The Answer- Won’t Make Story Changes, but Features New Dungeons

"The addition of the special attack, Theurgy, plus new dungeons will provide a new experience for players who have already completed the original game," says producer Kazuhisa Wada.

Persona 3 FES’ exclusive and meaty story epilogue The Answer is indeed being remade for Persona 3 Reload, and along with the expansion’s recent announcement, producer Kazuhisha Wada has also provided details on what to expect in terms of the changes it will make in a new developer message uploaded by Atlus.

As you’d expect Episode Aigis will feature all the visual and gameplay improvements of Persona 3 Reload, which will include new Theurgy abilities, and perhaps most crucially, entirely new dungeons. Where the story is concerned, though there won’t be any significant changes to the larger story, Wada says the expansion has “been fine-tuned” to help flesh out the characters more, similar to what the base game does with the original Persona 3.

“This is a remake of the original Episode Aigis with all of the improvements and gameplay experience of Persona 3 Reload,” Wada said. “While the story remains the same, the content has been fine-tuned to allow players to become more emotionally invested with the characters. The addition of the special attack, Theurgy, plus new dungeons will provide a new experience for players who have already completed the original game. The episode is sure to satisfy both those who have played the original Persona 3 FES and those who are just starting out.”

In the developer message, Wada also revealed that though Atlus “strongly considered” including Episode Aigis in Persona 3 Reload from the get go, the project almost had to be abandoned due to a number of setbacks. Read more on that through here.

Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis -The Answer- will launch in September for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
