One of the best things about each Persona game is the way the inner personas of each character is summoned. In Persona 3, characters summoned their personas by literally shooting themselves in the head, making for some excellent, dark and gnarly moments (especially that first time the protagonist summons his persona), whereas in Persona 4, the same was done through tarot cards. Not as badass, but still pretty cool. In Persona 5, characters summon their personas by ripping off the masks they’re wearing, which is supposed to be a metaphor for letting go of the identities that society has enforced upon them. Cool, huh?
