Since Persona 5 Royal is releasing this year in Japan, a lot of the marketing we’ve gotten has been in Japanese, as you’d expect. That doesn’t really stop eager western fans from wanting to get as much details about it as possible, though. And we got a pretty good information dump from Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu to dig through.

Thanks to translation work from the folks at Persona Central, we see the material the magazine dropped in its latest issue. Some of the things we knew already, such as the Showtime mechanic and the improved Baton Touch system (though there’s apparently a professional wrestling theme combination attack with Makoto and Haru we haven’t seen that I hope we do soon). They also detail the new third tier personas for some of the characters. William for Ryuji, Celestine for Ann, and Gorochiki for Yusuke. Along with that we get details on new ways to use skills, new level ranking effects and new attributes you can add to Personas. It also mentions going to a Jazz Club for some non-alcoholic drinks, playing billiards, mediating at a temple for more XP and getting more gear at used clothes stores. You can check out the full details at the link.

Persona 5 Royal will release at the end of the year in Japan, and in other regions early next year, exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
