Persona 5 Royal

Sony has added yet another time-limited trial to PlayStation Plus Premium, this time for Persona 5 Royal. Playable on PS5, it’s four hours long, allowing subscribers to become familiar with the gameplay, story and characters.

First released in March 2020 for PS4 before arriving last year for PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch, Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced version of Persona 5. It includes two new Confidants, a new playable character in Kasumi, a new Palace and the Third Semester with new story quests, Mementos requests, and more.

There’s also the Thieves’ Den which players can decorate with statues and concept art while watching commercials, trailers, cutscenes, and more. This is in addition to numerous quality-of-life changes and improvements, including 60 FPS gameplay at 4K resolution on PS5. Check out our review here to learn more about the game.

As for what’s next in the series, a Persona 3 remake and Persona 6 are rumored to be “pretty far along” in development. Both titles will allegedly be revealed this Summer, so stay tuned.
