Persona 6 Survey Lists PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC As Platforms

Atlus quizzes users about Persona 6, and other future hypothetical games.

Persona 5 1080p

Atlus has sent out the newest edition of their annual surveys in Japan; much like the United States one that was sent out a few days ago, this one talks about the prospect of their future games and products, and where people would like to see them. The survey itself delves into hypotheticals like Persona remakes for the older games in the series, but it also talks about a possible upcoming Persona 6 (notably, Persona 6 is not yet officially announced).

The interesting thing here is that Persona 6’s possible platforms listed—which respondents get to pick from—are Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, PlayStation VR, mobile, and “other”. This indicates that Atlus has officially dropped support for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS (which makes sense as the former is dead, and the latter is dying), and also that the next Persona game may not be PlayStation exclusive.

There has been a lot of smoke regarding a possible Nintendo-migration of Persona for a while anyway. Joker, the protagonist of Persona 5, being in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate started the conversation, and we have had several rumors that Persona 5 is headed over to the Switch later this year. If that were to happen, Persona 6 on Switch would not be out of the question either.
