Phil Spencer: Xbox One X Bundles With 4K HDR TV Most Likely Coming, Talks About Crackdown 3

Also believes Super Lucky's Tale will surprise a lot of people.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer was back at it again on Twitter, talking about a few things related to upcoming games like Super Lucky’s Tale and Crackdown 3Super Lucky’s Tale was one of the more interesting surprises at Microsoft’s E3 2017 presser since it seemed to feature some solid platforming. Spencer said the game was “going to surprise a lot of people” and that it was a “really good game”.

Even more focus was given to Crackdown 3 though. Despite the gameplay trailer and demo at E3 2017 not exactly lighting the world on fire, Spencer has noted that, “Crackdown has unique look/gameplay.” If you’re not someone who’s played the game, it’s “tough to just pick up and go.” Which is funny because no one said the same thing about, say, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Saints Row The Third or other sequels. Then again, we could just be misinterpreting it and Spencer actually means that the game will click faster with fans of the Crackdown series.

In the meantime, you can expect Crackdown 3 to be at Gamescom. Spencer said that he “saw the SDCC stream. We’ll make sure we have a good demo.” Furthermore, he noted that it was “Unfair to judge people who don’t play all the time on demos” but also said that “for those who play Crackdown, know what LT does is critical…”

On a side note, Spencer was also asked about the Xbox One X potentially being bundled with a 4K HDR TV. He said that, Yea, you’ve seen some of these with [Xbox One] S and I’m sure you’ll see some with X.” The Xbox One X is out on November 7th and will retail for $499. Pre-orders are expected to open very soon as Microsoft is currently clearing a few things up. As for Crackdown 3, it will release on November 7th as well for Xbox One X, Xbox One and Windows 10. Gamescom, where more gameplay will be shown, takes place on August 22nd to 26th.
