Pillars of Eternity

Obsidian Entertainment is busy with Pillars of Eternity, its successful crowd-funded RPG created in the style of classic titles like Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, and releasing the second part of the expansion The White March. However, it’s also working on a sequel to the game and designer Josh Sawyer told PCGamesN about how it would take place somewhere different.

“I would say in Pillars 2, we would probably take it to some place which is not quite as familiar. Which is exactly what Baldur’s Gate 2 did. Baldur’s Gate 2 took you to Amn, to Athkatla, which is nearby the rest of the Sword Coast territories but it’s different enough that it feels new and interesting.”

Sawyer also talked about The White March being “the other side of the Infinity Engine equation, which is Icewind Dale” which heads to a hostile environment but one which isn’t very different from the main game. What locations are you looking forward to in the sequel? Let us know in the comments.
