All right, we’re going to stop trying to keep track of all the new species Planet Zoo 2 brings to the table as it aims to be as realistic as possible. That applies underwater as much as it does above ground, apparently, as the Javanese Cownose Ray joins the Snow Leopard and six new species that have been revealed in the run-up to the game’s release.
This one’s an interesting specimen, as Frontier Developments has shown off some excellent underwater environments it seems pretty active in; the serene score blends well with the rather solitary conditions that seem to make the Cownose quite happy. That’s going to make it quite relatable to the introverts among you, even if it could still bring challenges of its own, especially if you aim to try adding a few to habitats in your reservations. Of course, we’re quite sure that you’re going to be able to figure it out in due course.
Planet Zoo 2 continues to impress with the sheer diversity and incredible detail it brought to all the flora, fauna, and environments you can use to create your own zoo. We can’t wait to get started when it launches on October 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
