PopCap Games’ Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare initially released for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 before making its way to PC but the developer soon began dropping hints that the game would release on PS4 and PS3. Now the PlayStation versions are nearing release and Dualshockers had a chance to speak Franchise Marketing Manager Owen Johnson at the EA Summer Showcase about the game.

Johnson talked about how the game came to be ported on to the PS4 and stated that the game’s 1080p resolution and 60 FPS frame rate is looking great at this time. Considering the Xbox One version ran at 900p resolution, there should be a significant boost in terms of sharpness but we’ll wait to see what other visual improvements PopCap has made with the game.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for PS3 and PS4 releases on August 19th in North America and August 21st in Europe.
