PlatinumGames, thanks to their Platinum 4 announcements, have been grabbing headlines almost on a weekly basis of late. With them having made three of their four intended announcements – those being The Wonderful 101: Remastered, Project G.G.and a new studio focusing on live service games – fans are now looking forward to what the next reveal will be.

And apparently, it’s going to be a big one. Speaking in an interview with Nintendo Enthusiast, while talking about the messaging that Platinum wants to convey with its four announcements to fans and the industry at large, studio head Atsushi Inaba said that he’s hoping the fourth and final announcement will “blow people away.”

“I really feel that, from the viewpoint of the players, they’re always kind of wondering, ‘What is PlatinumGames doing next, what are they doing next, what are they doing next?'” Inaba said. “So the goal in making this was to [get fans to say], ‘Oh, they did that! What’s the next one gonna be? Oh, it’s that! What’s the next one gonna be?’ And I really feel that, with the fourth project, I hope to just blow people away and have them be like ‘What?! You guys did that?!’ So that’s the message that we’re sending out.”

Though there’s no fixed date on when the next announcement will come, and nothing but speculation on what it will even be, PlatinumGames recently said that “it’s not too far away”, and that it’s going to be “a doozy.” Read more on that through here.
