PlatinumGames are always busy with something, often multiple projects at the same time, but the imminent future is looking bigger than ever for the Japanese studio. And Platinum’s president Kenichi Sato is certainly touting it as such as well.

Speaking recently in an interview with Inside Games (via VGC), Sato said that the studio will have “big news” to share early this year, and that the coming few weeks and months might spell “the beginning of a new stage” for PlatinumGames as a whole. Sato also mentioned that the studio will be looking to operate at “full speed” this year.

There are currently two projects that PlatinumGames are working on that have been publicly revealed. Babylon’s Fall recently received its first ever gameplay footage, while Bayonetta 3’s development is supposedly going well, but neither of those two have a release date.

Meanwhile, we also know, by the studio’s own admission, that there’s several other unannounced games in development at Platinum- one of which is supposedly “unlike anything else” and is “something that has never been done before”.
