PlayStation 4 Has Sold Over 70.6 Million Units Worldwide

PlayStation VR has meanwhile sold over 2 million units as of December 3rd 2017.

Off the back of its most successful Black Friday weekend since the console launched, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the PlayStation 4 has sold over 70.6 million units worldwide as of December 3rd 2017.

It also revealed that over 617.8 million copies of PS4 titles have been sold in retail shops and via digital downloads. PlayStation VR has been doing pretty well for itself, selling over 2 million units and selling 12.2 million copies sold among its 150 titles thus far. Again, these are milestones that have been achieved as of December 3rd.

Expect to hear more about the success of the PS4 and PlayStation VR at PlayStation Experience with the PlayStation Presents show kicking off at 8 AM PST on December 8th. The full show is expected to start properly at 10 AM PST on December 9th and it’s expected that a number of announcements and updates to games like Ghost of Tsushima and Media Molecule’s Dreams will be revealed.
