While E3 isn’t happening this year, there’s still plenty of announcements to look forward to in the Summer Game Fest, IGN Summer of Gaming, Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase and PC Gaming Show. However, one company that may not have a showcase next month is Sony. Leaker AccountNgt tweeted that a showcase is likely happening in September instead.

In a follow-up tweet, they noted that, “The same source told me a few weeks ago that no big showcase was planned until September.” This is apparently where Sony will announce the long-rumored new Sly Cooper. Interestingly, another announcement seems to be taking place in the same month though further details weren’t provided.

While plans could change, this isn’t too far off from what VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb recently said. Grubb heard from “multiple people” that Sony may have a show in the first week of June but couldn’t confirm it for himself. Afterwards, he also mentioned hearing about nothing happening until September, which lines up with AccountNgt’s source.

Time – and an official announcement from Sony – will tell so take things with a grain of salt and stay tuned for more details.
