MULTIPLE REGIONS
Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal really spoiled us when it let us explore both Johto and Kanto. 16 Gyms, two full regions, one Pokemon League, and a final battle against Red? It was a surprisingly full-featured game, packed with things to do, a full course meal of things both new and old. We’ve been begging for something similar ever since, but have never received it. As the first real console Pokemon title, though, Gen 8 is in a position to leverage the strengths of the Switch and give us two full fledged regions. Give us a new region, definitely, but also, maybe after that, take us to a familiar location? Maybe Sinnoh? We’ve gotten remakes up until Gen 3, Gen 4 has received no such love, so that would make sense, too.
