Of all the changes Let’s Go made to the Pokemon formula, the one change that almost everyone would agree was for the better was the removal of random encounters. Pokemon now appeared directly in the overworld, so not only could you avoid them if you wanted to, you could even seek out the specific Pokemon you were looking for. This is one change that Game Freak will hopefully retain.
