It’s surprising how little we’ve heard about Pokemon Legends: Arceus since its announcement earlier this year. The Pokemon Company announced the open world RPG as the next big evolution of the series, promising an adventure cut from a very different cloth from what series fans would expect, but since then, the only time it’s been spoken about in an official capacity when its release date was announced. And with that release date not terribly far away, fans are beginning to wonder when exactly we’ll hear more about the game.
Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like it will be too long. Speaking in a recent interview with GamesBeat, JC Smith – who’s the senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokémon Company International – said that the company has “a robust rollout” planned as far as updates on Pokemon Legends are concerned, and while they don’t have anything to share just yet, there will be more details on the game coming “soon.”
“That one, we have a robust rollout, but not a lot that I can share at this time,” Smith said. “But the team has a lot of great things to share, and you’ll be hearing from us soon.”
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is due out for the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022. A couple of months before that, on November 19, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will launch as well. We’ll probably be hearing more about that in the near future as well.
