Like previous games in the series, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has its fair share of Legendary and Mythical Pokemon that can be captured. Some of them are obtained as part of the story (specifically the final mission – more on that here) while others are accessible only in the post-game. Let’s go over the location of each Legendary and Mythical Pokemon here along with their requirements, starting with Manaphy/Phione.
Catching Manaphy and Phione requires having Buizel, Mantyke and Overqwil in your line-up. Once thyou’re, head over to the Coastlands in the evening and swim through the gate. Upon hearing Manaphy’s voice, use Surf to reach the Seaside Hollow. Venture inside and you’ll face off against Manaphy along with three Phione. Use this opportunity to catch Manaphy who will be level 50 with skills like Acid Armor, Zen Headbutt, Moonblast and Take Heart.
Once the mission is complete, return to Seaside Hollow to try and catch Phione. It only has a chance to appear though so keep that in mind.
How to Catch Uxie
Uxie is found in Lake Acuity but can only be captured in the post-game once the main story is finished. First, go to Survey HQ to receive “The Researcher of Myths” mission, which leads to Cogita. You’ll receive the mission “Plates of the Lakes” and can travel to Lake Acuity North (specifically Acuity Cavern) to capture it. It’s level 70 and has skills like Tri Attack, Calm Mind, Hypnosis and Mystical Power so be careful.
How to Catch Mesprit
Also part of the “Plates of the Lakes” mission is Mesprit, except you’ll be traveling to Lake Verity West (in Verity Cavern) in order to face off against it. Like Uxie, Mesprit is level 70 and possesses skills like Tri Attack, Calm Mind and Mystical Power. Instead of Hypnosis though, it has Recover so be prepared for it to heal when taking critical damage.
How to Catch Azelf
The final Pokemon involved in the “Plates of the Lakes” mission, Azelf can be captured in Lake Valor North (specifically the Verity Cavern). It’s level 70 like its cohorts and also possesses skills like Tri-Attack and Mystical Power but also wields Self-Destruct and Nasty Plot as well.
